Hi! I’m the book from Scrollverse.

Come with me – I’ll show you how it all works.

Stop 1 · The idea

Same swipe. Different content.

You already know how to swipe. With me, what comes next is a thought from the Bible.Short, clearly explained and read in about a minute.

And once you hit your daily goal, I’ll be the one to say: done for today.

Stop 2 · A lesson

Short doesn’t mean shallow.

1Finding rest

Today is enough.

2

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

Matthew 6:34 · King James Version
3

Jesus is talking about food, clothes and worrying about tomorrow. He invites his listeners to trust God and take on the day in front of them.

4

The verse is part of the Sermon on the Mount. Just before it, Jesus points to birds and flowers as pictures of God’s care.

5

What’s the next small step you can take today?

This is what I look like on the inside. Every lesson has five parts:

  1. 1a topic that’s on your mind
  2. 2the Bible verse, word for word, with its reference
  3. 3two or three sentences of context
  4. 4background, if you want to go deeper
  5. 5a question just for you
Stop 3 · A day

Three thoughts a day. More if you like.

After three thoughts, I light a candle for you. Then you decide: encore or call it a day.One rest day a week won’t break your candle streak.

  1. Today card with a greeting from the book, a Harvest Festival note and the weekly goal
MorningThe Today cardA hello from me, your weekly goal and what’s coming up – a feast day, say.
  2. Lesson in the feed with a bar for Save, Thought, Go deeper and Share

  3. Daily goal reached: a candle is burning, 1 day in a row
DoneA light for todayThe candle is lit, the number jumps. A little celebration is allowed.
  4. Encore page: three more thoughts, a puzzle, the next stop or call it a day
After thatEncore or call it a dayThree more thoughts, a puzzle – or a blessing for the evening.
Stop 5 · Learning path and album

Step by step through the Bible.

On the learning path, I walk on ahead. After each stop there’s a quick check.

Stop 6 · Two ways to read

With me, or in peace and quiet.

Lively · defaultColour worlds, puzzles, the odd bit of confetti.

I pop up every third lesson. In between: fill-in-the-gap puzzles, “Which book?” and ideas for your next journey.

FocusOne colour. Just the text.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”Matthew 11:28 · King James Version

In Focus mode, I stay out of the way. Book’s honour.

Stop 9 · Questions

Good to know.

Anything else? Books are good at answers. There’s more under FAQ.

Which Bible translation does Scrollverse use?

The app uses the German Luther Bible of 1912. It’s in the public domain and sounds old-fashioned in places – which is exactly what the context under each verse is for. The verses quoted on this English website are from the King James Version.

Which denomination is the app for?

For anyone who wants to get to know the Bible – Protestant, Catholic, free church or just curious. Whether the app says “service” or “Mass” is up to you. There are deliberately no catechism texts from any particular church; the lessons work with Bible texts that all share.

Who writes the lessons?

[Answer from the team: who writes the lessons, who proofreads them?]

Before publication, every Bible quote is automatically checked against the wording of the Luther Bible 1912.

Do I have to read every day?

No. The daily goal is an offer, not a must. The candle streak forgives one rest day a week, there are no loss warnings, and you can hide the streak completely in your profile. Instead of days, you can also follow a weekly goal.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything you save and write is stored only on your iPhone. The subscription runs through your Apple ID.

What happens to my notes if I cancel?

They stay. Under Profile → “Export thoughts and collection” you can take them with you as text any time, even without a subscription.

How do I cancel?

In your iPhone’s Settings: your name → Subscriptions → Scrollverse → Cancel Subscription. You can do this any time, at the latest 24 hours before renewal.
