Features

Everything I’ve got inside.

Read, save, puzzle, keep going – here’s every Scrollverse feature laid out once. Two of them you can try right here.

I’ll show you around. Five chapters, no rush.

And if you tap me seven times … well, give it a try.

Chapter 1

Reading

Swipe, read, swipe on. And when a verse grabs you, we go deeper.

The feed

One thought per page.

Each page shows only what matters: topic, title, the Bible verse with its reference and a short bit of context. You move on by swiping – never with a back button.

  • Save puts the thought in your collection.
  • Thought opens a notepad just for you.
  • Go deeper adds a page with background underneath.
  • Share turns the verse into a card.
  • A topic filter shows only what you need right now.

Go deeper

Read the whole passage.

Below every lesson, a second page is waiting if you want it: the background, the whole Bible passage with the verse highlighted, and a question for you.

In context · Matthew 6:25–34

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Background

The verse is part of the Sermon on the Mount. Just before it, Jesus points to birds and flowers as pictures of God’s care.

Topics

21 topics, one feed.

Rest & worry, grief & loss, love, work, learning to pray, church-year feasts: when you start, you pick what’s on your mind, and you can change it any time. Search also finds words like “stress” or “homesick”.

Chapter 2

Your day

In the morning I say hello, after three thoughts we celebrate, and in the evening there’s a blessing. No pressure in between.

Today card

A hello, once a day.

The first page of the day is mine. I tell you what’s coming up:

  • a feast in the church year, like Harvest Festival or Pentecost,
  • at the weekend, a service near you – with a church search in Apple Maps if you like,
  • your week in review and the next badge,
  • “Remember this?” – a verse you saved a few days ago.
Today card: the book mentions Harvest Festival, with the weekly goal and next badge below
Daily goal and candle streak

Three thoughts, one light.

When you reach your daily goal, a candle lights up – with a little jingle. The number next to it counts your days in a row.

  • One rest day a week doesn’t break anything.
  • No warnings when you miss a day – you just start again.
  • Your longest streak stays as your record.
  • You can hide the streak in your profile.

Encore or call it a day

You decide when to stop.

After your daily goal, swipe once more and choose: three more thoughts, a quick puzzle, the next stop on the learning path – or “Done for today” with the blessing from Numbers 6.

Encore page: What’s next? 3 more thoughts, a quick puzzle, next stop, enough for today
Weekly goal

Rhythm, not obligation.

Rather read three days a week than every day? Set a weekly goal. A ring from Monday to Sunday shows where you are – on the Today card and in your collection.

Chapter 3

Play and learn

Every now and then I’ll ask you something. Getting it wrong is fine – I’ll tell you the answer.

Puzzles

Three kinds of puzzle.

In “Lively” reading mode, little puzzles pop up between lessons: fill in the gap, “Which book?” and word order, where you put a verse back together. Try it here:

“_____ not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”

Isaiah 43:1 · Which word is missing?

So, do you know it?

Learning path

22 stages, nothing locked.

All journeys are laid out as stages on one path – from “First steps” to “Carrying grief”. After each stop there’s a quick check. Right on the first try earns a star, and you can always skip. I walk ahead to the next stop.

Album

An album that grows with you.

  • Pilgrim passport: a dated stamp for every stage you finish.
  • Bookshelf: 66 book spines, coloured by genre. The first time you read from a book, it goes on the shelf.
  • “Did you know?” cards: 213 little facts I tell you in the feed – each one gets collected.

Chapter 4

Keep and share

I’ll keep what matters to you. And what you want to pass on, I’ll make look nice.

Collection and thoughts

Yours. Even without a subscription.

Saved lessons and your own thoughts live in your collection, separate from the Bible text. Under Profile → “Export thoughts and collection” you can take everything with you as text – any time, even if you no longer subscribe.

My thought · on Matthew 6:34

The exam is tomorrow. Today I’ll study that one chapter – the rest can wait until tomorrow.

Chapter 5

Your way

Loud or quiet, colourful or plain, with me or without me – you set it up.

Reading modeLively or Focus

“Lively” brings colour worlds, puzzles, confetti and me. “Focus” shows just the text – as Paper, Evening, Sun or automatically by time of day.

NotificationsOne a day at most

A daily reminder at your time, plus, if you like, a Sunday greeting, church-year feasts, a journey that’s waiting or the start of the week. Each one can be switched off, and everything stays local.

SoundsWood, paper, kalimba, bells

Our own sounds for saving, puzzles and celebrations – never while scrolling. The silent switch is respected, the app stays quiet on Good Friday, and you can turn off all sounds in your profile.

DenominationService or Mass

The app doesn’t pick a denomination. You choose which word I use on Sundays.

PrivacyNo account, no tracking

Everything stays on your iPhone. No analytics, no ads, no server for your data.

Bible textLuther Bible 1912

The app uses the German Luther Bible of 1912 – public domain and quoted word for word: every quote is checked against the text before it goes into the app.

Done for today
This is what I send you off with whenever you reach your daily goal:“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”Numbers 6:24–26 · King James Version
